Pelican
oil 11x14
I had so much fun painting my moose that I thought I would paint this pelican. I think pelicans are pretty cool birds. The last time I went to the beach which was a few weeks ago, there were so many pelicans, they would fly very close to our balcony. Another thing I noticed is thery seemed to always be in three or fives.

Moose in Blue Green and Violet
oil 11x14
I love moose. Their is somthing so special about them. They look like several animals put together. They are awesome if you see one. Once when I was in NH visiting family their was a moose that seemed to be in love with this cow. They would meet every evening in the field and just stand close and rub each other. It was so cool. All I could think is that they were reincarted in these bodies and loved in another life. This is a true story!

This painting was done on location at Bond Park. The girl in the painting is one of my students. We painted outside for about three hours. It was such a beautiful day! The breeze was just right.

Another Day by the Stream
Oil 4x7
This painting I did on an orange toned canvas. I really liked how the orange came through and influenced the whole painting.

Enchanted Forest
Oil 11x14
This is a pallet knife painting. It was done on a trail behind my studio. I really wanted to capture the light I saw. The light was really twinkling through the leaves, there was a nice breeze.

Sun Set at Topsail
oil on canvas 8x10
This painting was inspired form a place in Topsil NC. At the end of the island is a beautiful spot with a cove and on the other side this estuary. The moment did not last for very long but the painting helped to perserve the moment.

Beaver Tail
Beaver Tail
Oil 38x40
This is a painting I am working on at the moment. It is from a spot called Beaver Tail in Jamestown RI. I was visiting my family this summer and this is just a beautiful site to explore, sit and ponder. I took so many photos! I still have more work to do on it.
