The Keys

oil 6x12

I had the Florida Keys on my mind yesterday and just had the urge to paint what was in my head. I used a pallet knife to paint this. I like the way it came out and I enjoyed working with the cool colors for a change.

This summer I had a chance to visit with my family in RI. We went to the beach several times. This is a painting of my brother and my niece. It was a beautiful day we had a lot of fun!

Pelican

oil 11x14

I had so much fun painting my moose that I thought I would paint this pelican. I think pelicans are pretty cool birds. The last time I went to the beach which was a few weeks ago, there were so many pelicans, they would fly very close to our balcony. Another thing I noticed is thery seemed to always be in three or fives.

Beaver Tail

Beaver Tail
Oil 38x40
This is a painting I am working on at the moment. It is from a spot called Beaver Tail in Jamestown RI.  I was visiting my family this summer and this is just a beautiful site to explore, sit and ponder. I took so many photos! I still have more work to do on it.
