ACEOs are collectible little pieces of art that can be matted and framed to hang on the wall. An ACEO is always two and one-half inches by three and one-half inches. I sell these little painting on e bay reguarly.

Country Barn

Run down Barn

This is an old run down house I saw in the country yesterday afternoon. I just thought it was beautiful! I started this painting today. I had to stop because my students were arriving for class. I will finish this tomorrow and post.

The Keys

I had the Florida Keys on my mind yesterday and just had the urge to paint what was in my head. I used a pallet knife to paint this. I like the way it came out and I enjoyed working with the cool colors for a change.

Holly

This is my cat Holly. She has taken on a new spot on a table on my back deck. She has been there everyday this month. I can look out my kitchen window and it is her I see basking in the sun. I just had to paint her. She is an all black cat but the way the sun was hitting her fur it looked purple and orange.

Blue Green Vase with Orchids

This piece was inspired by orchids. Everywhere I shop you can purchase orchid plants so cheap! I can't resist. The blooms last from 8 to 10 weeks. That is cheaper than cut flowers. I am beginning to acquire a collection. I will always think of my mother when I paint an orchid. She used to collect ochids too. She is also an artist.

Rainy Day II

I love the rain and storms. Today it is raining, we have a tropical storm coming called Hanna. We also have another one the way that is even more powerful. I plan on getting some more reference pictures during the storm. I will work on a few more paintings with the theme rain in them.

This summer I had a chance to visit with my family in RI. We went to the beach several times. This is a painting of my brother and my niece. It was a beautiful day we had a lot of fun!
