Well here is my studio. I have been in the process of cleaning it and organizing and taking inventory for the the past month. It is almost there. This is a good thing because over the past year I and two other artists have organized a open studio tour with 25 artists in the western wake county area of NC. Check out our website! blog.http://westernwakestudiotour.blogspot.com well the tour is this weekend! I pray it does not rain.
This painting was done for the different strokes for different folks challenge. I had fun with this challenge. I love sushi. The first time I had it was 25 years ago in Japan. I was an english conversatn teacher for Mitsubishi. My students took my out on the town and bought me all kinds of things to try. I really like a lot of wasbi on mine.
This is the same painting from an earlier post. "The Path" It was hanging on the wall in my studio and I got the urge to bring it a little futher along. I'm glad I did.
Well I did another little series this time some abstracts. Six in all. I did them this week and in was for pure fun. They were created with scraped paint from my pallet glued down with mod podge which is a collage medium. I had done a couple a while ago people loved them so they sold. What I love is I do them on scrap mat board and I'm using things I would of throw away.
I did this still life painting today. I set my still life in front of one of my paintings and took a picture. I loved how the background worked with the subject. It was a complete accident, but a good one. Here is the photo and the painting.
